The initiators of the construction of the multimodal terminal in Batumi are American corporation Trammo and Wondernet Express Investment Group with the support of the Georgian Government.
The terminal storage capacity for mineral fertilizers will be 60,000 tonnes. The total amount of investment Is 20 million USD. The project calls for shaping logistics corridor from Central Asia countries to Black Sea ports via Azerbaijan. It is planned that a new transport corridor will become the shortest and most effective route for cargo from Central Asia to the Black Sea, and then to Europe.
The leading European institutions and international cargo suppliers were invited for this project. Batumi terminal will be equipped with high technology filtration systems, which will prevent the possibility of harmful impact on the environment.
